Greetings!
Thank you to those who participated in the Hop around the Block shop hop this past Friday and Saturday. It was fun and we sincerely appreciate your support of the local shops. Congratulations Cindy Wolf for winning the $50 gift card from The SewNSew! As many of you know, we are expending. This process takes a while and a lot of time and attention. This week is to bring many changes and requires the loss of time and space for some of our classes. Please check the online calendar for any scheduling modifications. This is also a good time to remind you, that if you plan on attending a class, be sure we have you registered. As soon as some of this dust settles, we will reschedule the classes we had to postpone. We don't want you to miss out on anything we offer, but we know how much you will love the changes we are making. Soon, everything will be under one roof and not so many strolls across the plaza!!! New Arrivals: Pink (Breast cancer pink) mesh for bags has arrived! Hurray! A lot of Minkee has arrived for those who love the soft, silky feel. Peacocks, Yo Gabba Gabba, PUL (for diaper covers and lunch box liners), fruit, bread, mermaids, dinosaurs, Peanuts, Gone With the Wind and many many other beautiful fabrics.   New patterns, new notions and fabric. We can't wait to have our new space available to spread into! If you are limited on space for a design walll, but need to be able to lay out your quilt blocks, this is a great addtion. Be sure to get one on your list for Mother's Day! The latest Sew Steady clear acrylic tables are available for order. Just imagine having an additional 24 x 32 inches of flatbed space for your machine quilting. Let us know your machine model and we can order for you! It takes about two weeks for them to arrive from the facory where they specially make them for your machine. We can order for any make or model. If you already have a Sew Steady table for your machine, but need the travel bag, we have those as well. 
There is time (if you order now) to have it by Mother's Day. Basic sewing - shirt or blouse. You learn so much about following a pattern and garment construction. Pat has a specialized education in Garment Construction and Tailoring and has so much wonderful information to share. Watch our calendar for more basic sewing classes. Texture Tote class is back! April 17 from 10am to 2 pm (part 1) This beautiful bag was such as hit, but some of you had other things scheduled and couldn't come to the class. Be sure to sign up for this one - you don't want to miss this chance. Sat. April 21 from 10 am to 4 pm * * * * * * * We are very excited to offer classes with Manon as the teacher. We have heard a lot about her fun classes and talents that she shares and have many plans for her teaching abilities. 4 Patch Stack and Whack is a fascinating class. Tuesday, May 8 and 22, this class is broken down into two sessions to give you time to learn and do the techniques in two evening sessions. There is an unusual twist for putting this one together. If you can't do the two Tuesday classes, we have one Saturday class on May 26. $25.00 for the two Tuesdays or the one Saturday class, you choose whichever is more convenient for you. Check out the sample in the shop. Notice that the same fabric was used in the blocks - just the way you stack and whack makes each block unique. * * * * * * * Tisket-A-Tasket  If you love those 30's fabrics, this quilt is for you. Carol gives great instruction on making the blocks and works with you to help you cut and piece. It is not too late for you to join this beautiful block a month. Next class is Tuesday, May 15 from 6-9 pm. * * * * * * * The blocks are going together for Women of Courage Coming in June. Fabrics and blocks are beautful, far more beautiful than we expected!! 
* * * * * * * We have our first SewNSew Retreat..... Come and be part of our first retreat. Bring in your projects and enjoy the space and social fun you will have while being inspired with creativity, fun and relaxation. Bring in old projects that have been collecting dust and need to be finished, or start a new one. Our area is spacious and comfortable for you to work in with ironing stations and cutting stations. You may need to bring sunglasses because our lighting is amazing! We hope to have our area up where you can take a break (if you wish) and go watch a quilting show or two! Or.... you may wish to sit and browse our "library" of magazines and quilt books and get more ideas. Begins on Thursday, May 3 at noon, sew until midnight or so. Come back and sew Friday, Saturday and again on Sunday (Sun. is until 3:00 pm). You make your own schedule! Thursday dinner will be a potluck, everyone will bring an item. We will serve you a light breakfast Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Dinners on Friday and Saturday are included as well. Lunch will be on your own. We will have a menu available for lunch, if you wish for us to order and pick up for you from the location we indicate, you pay when lunch comes. If you need to take a break, get out and move around, go wherever you wish. Just in this downtown area there are a lot of wonderful choices. Gifts, Bingo, raffles and prizes will be plentiful as well. Participate in as many or as few as you wish. The four days of fun and sewing therapy is $125.00. Please be sure to register and pay as soon as possible. Seating is limited so only paid seats are reserved. You must pay by April 16 to hold your spot. * * * * * * * Our EKG classes are wonderful. You learn a technique as well as becoming more acquainted with your embroidery machine. The next class will be on the cutwork napkins. Beautiful!
