If you want to contribute to the Quilts for Sandy, please drop them off as soon as possible. Subsequent shipments as we collect enough to send. We have received over 170 quilts!!!! That is amazing, you are amazing for your thoughtfulness.
I searched and searched for a group to send the quilts to. Wanted to be as certain as possible that the quilts would go to those who were devastated by Sandy. The stories from those I spoke with trying to find the best place to send, are personal and heartbreaking. We are convinced these are going to people in need.

The ConKerr Cancer group was here Sunday, Nov 4. WOW, the group (including some of our fabulous customers) completed 270 pillowcases and had many more that are partially finished. What an accomplishment. There will be many smiles from the children who receive them.
Thank you, Colleen, Heather, Helene, Eileen, Catherine, Cornella, Brenda, Lydia and Randie for sharing your talent and a few hours to give something special to these children. Christine did a fabulous job laundering and folding and Sandra donated fabric.

The charity pillowcase group was here on Monday. They have specific requests for pillowcases by December 1. They worked diligently all day and are trying to meet the needs of those who have asked for the donations. We appreciate them coming and using our space to create and help make smiles on the faces of those who will receive the pillowcases created with love and concern. The group will return on Monday, November 26 and continue their labor of love. If you wish to help, you are welcome to join in.
